One Room Challenge - Week 3 | Luxe for Less, Ikea and H&M Haul

Posted by Līva Miķelsone on

Week 3 of One Room Challenge 2018 is finally here and I have prepared a little IKEA and H&M haul with my chosen furniture pieces for my boho chic inspired home office interior. Get luxe for less!

Woven area rug Lohals from ikea in styled bohemian office interior

My first pick was this IKEA Lohals area rug. Firstly it is universal as it works on it's own just as well as it does as a layering rug. Secondly it is simple, beautifully made and has just the right texture and shade that my light grey + white + dark wood floor'ed home office needs. As the office is small, the rug takes up approximately 1/4 of the space, adding a significant lightness to the dark floor and making the overall look of the room much brighter.

Ikea ivar hack with pretty pegs legs for sophisticated home office interior

My second must have for this interior is IKEA Ivar cabinet. I came across this stunning Ivar hack with Pretty Pegs via their website and immediately knew that this will be a fantastic storage unit to put right next to my desk. As I want to keep my desk clean at all times, it will store most of the important documents, such as bill's to pay, to do's, etc. More of that will be revealed in my next week's post along with a DIY Ivar makeover. Little sneak peek - it will have those stunning Pretty Pegs legs too!

White ikea besta storage unit hack with gold zara knobs and pretty pegs legs

This IKEA Besta storage unit has actually been with me for a while now, and is the one piece that is already finished. As you can see in the image on the right, it has been updated with Pretty Pegs Estelle legs and I've put Zara's knobs on them to make it look more luxe. Unfortunately they are not available anymore, but I feel these knobs would give just the right look as well!

Sinnerlig pendant lamp in beautiful scandi boho interior

I feel this IKEA Sinnerlig pendant lamp has been an Pinterest icon since it was released, back in 2015. There is no doubt it will stay this way as this whole collection was designed by Ilse Crawford, who's work I personally adore. This lamp finds it's place perfectly in various interior styles, but I feel it works exceptionally well with bohemian and Scandinavian interiors. Must have!

Woven basket for plant storage in scandinavian interior

This woven basket is another iconic piece finding it's way in our interiors for several years now. It is simply gorgeous and can be used as is or decorated with tassels, etc for an even more bohemian look. Time will show, if I decide to dress it up or not. Let's see how all the decor pieces get together!

Speaking of which, below you can find my whole IKEA and small H&M picks from last weekend. It is amazing how much warmth and texture all of the woven pieces bring to the room and allows the white furniture to pop against it. Eeek, am I the only one who get's so excited when the room starts to come together?
