It's always very exciting to receive final look photos of your wallpaper projects for me, however it is beyond exciting when you stumble upon them on Pinterest or Instagram as it was this morning! When scrolling through Instagram I came across a post from Design Milk and it simply made my day! Because of this reason, I wanted to share with you this amazing Parisian apartment where bold designs meet subtle colors and antique and mid-century modern furniture.
Designer of this project is Suzanne Tanascaux, and you can see this and many more of her stunning interior design projects on her website suzannetanascaux.com along with the floor planning and the before and after shots.
Here she decided to create a very theatrical foyer, as it is the first impression of the apartment - the first room see when you walk in the house. The wallpaper she chose to create this bold interior is our Diagonal stripe wallpaper in traditional wallpaper material. The couple who lives here is also very passionate about furniture from 80's and it was a must to implement their collection of these beautiful furniture pieces in the final design.
The antique pieces blend perfectly with new & modern interior design elements creating an exceptional overall look. The crown molding adds a touch of elegance and is definitely a design element that differs Parisian interiors from other interior styles out there. And the neatly stored antique books in combination with geometric shapes? Perfect!
The kitchen that was in this apartment before the renovation was almost non-existent and as this is a home for 5 people, home cooked meals is quite an essential part of the day. The kitchen area was designed to be very compact for everyone to be able to be here at once and enjoy a family time dinner. May we compliment the black and white theme running throughout the house? Love it!
As this 110m2 was renovated to find space for 3 children's bedrooms, the master bathroom was also designed to be very compact, with the most important essentials of cosy bathroom interior. The way that a bath has been fitted here is amazing - it is in my opinion one of the most important spa ritual essentials during the winter season and a must have in every home.
The master bedroom along with kids rooms is kept very organised, neutral and calming. The interior decor pieces that catches our eye the most is the black piano and fabulous antique furniture. And we especially love how the geometric theme continues with the striped storage boxes. Another proof that small design pieces can make a huge impact on the overall room interior!
Would you try this bold entryway at your own home? Or perhaps there is something else that caught your eye in this eclectic black and white themed apartment? Let us know in the comment section below!
